While we frequently work on medium and large gardens, we are huge fans of the usually city-based courtyard and tiny garden. These small gardens are a real test of design in so far as – like the difference between the choice of words in a poem and those in a short story or novel – every element has to absolutely count. The constraint placed by limited space on the design can result in the most creative of solutions.
