Design
Town or country, our gardens are designed to be in permanent and ever evolving conversation with the home, the lie of the land, the seasons, and the people for whom they are an ongoing source of pleasure.
As such, we take enormous care over how the garden flows into and out of the house, the stories it tells, the impact it has on how we think, feel, and act. It should accommodate a range of different moods, movement and activities. It should be interesting and even sometimes surprising. And it should always have the capacity to take one’s breath away.
To create such a garden, we work closely with you, ensuring that the design – from concept to mood board to overview plan to technical drawings – is born of genuine and ongoing collaboration.
‘I want gardens to have an almost effortless appeal and adherence to a place — I don’t want to see the heavy print of a designer.’
Rupert Golby, English-garden designer
