Ben MacDonald Gardens was founded in Brighton in 2002.
Ben MacDonald is a garden designer from Brighton with ecological and sustainable design principles. He has a reputation for design and horticultural expertise and enjoys working closely with clients, encouraging an open exchange of information, with a view to designing their perfect garden. Traditional country garden, a windy roof terrace or a contemporary urban retreat, his goal is to design and create beautiful gardens for inspiration, contemplation and activity.
‘I started my horticultural career working with trees and became passionate about the gardens they were planted in. After qualifying I spent 8 years working closely with some of the best gardeners in the country such as Rosemary Verey, Rupert Golby and Roger Platts.
My passion for gardens include a love for the odd and the tiny. A minute town courtyard or a windy balcony are as compellingly interesting as beautiful acres.
Qalifications: Higher National Diploma in Garden Design & Management/National Diploma in Landscape Construction/ National Certificate in Arboriculture (Management of trees)
